One such scholarship scheme launched by SBI General Insurance Company Limited is Suraksha Support. Under this scholarship, the students in class 9th till class 12th and graduation level will get financial support.

This scholarship amount will help students who have lost their parents or earning family members during the coronavirus pandemic. From this scholarship scheme, the eligible students will get an amount of Rupees 38,500 annually.

Eligibility Criteria

You need to fulfill these eligibility criteria before applying for SBI Support Scholarship

  • The applicant must be from India.
  • SBI General Suraksha Support Scholarship is available to only for those in the following conditions
  • Lost their parent(s)/earning family member since January 2020 or those who have lost their job/employment in the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Candidate should be in their Class 9 to 12 and undergraduate (General and Professional) courses.
  • Students must be currently pursuing any of those education above to get the eligibility.
  • Family income of the applicant must be below INR 6,00,000 (6 Lakh) from all sources.
  • Students of SBI employees or Buddy4Study are not eligible.

Amount released under this scholarship includes computer/tablet/mobile allowance to each student with an upper limit of INR 8,500.

Scholarship amount released under this scheme can be used for academic purposes which include tuition fees, hostel fees, internet, books, stationery, online learning, etc.

  • The applicant must be from India.
