Telangana Aasara Pension Scheme 2020
The Telangana Aasara Pension Scheme was introduced in the year 2014 under the leadership of Telangana Chief Minister in order to offer shelter to all destitute people like widows, HIV patients, etc. Now, the renewal of this scheme is being done in the 2020 under which the pension amount has been revised. From June 2019, the pensioners amount will be given in the revised form under the Aasara Pension started by the Government of Telangana for welfare and social security. Eligibility Criteria
Certain eligibility criteria has been set by the government for the Telangana Aasara pension scheme 2020. This differs for different categories which are as follows
For Old Age Pension
- Those citizens who come under economically weaker sections will be able to get benefited out of this scheme.
- Age of the person must be above or equal to 65 years.
- Only the old people residing in the state can apply for this scheme.
- This old-age pension scheme is applicable only for one member in the family. Either men or women can apply.
- If any bad thing happens, a women headed by the male in the families ages above 65 years can apply for an old-age pension.
- Not only old people, the landless agricultural laborers, porters, porter, rickshaw pullers, hand cart pullers, fruit/flower sellers, snatcher tanners, rag pickers, destitute, destitute and other rural or urban areas Pension will get benefited by this scheme.
For Weavers
- The weaver who wants to apply for this scheme must be above 50 years of age.
- Only one member of the family can avail the benefits under this scheme.

For Toddy Tappers
- Age of the Toddy Tappers must be above or at least 50 years of age or older to take advantage of this scheme.

- The Toddy Tappers must belong to primitive and tribal category to apply for this scheme.
- The Toddy Tappers must be in the state of Telangana to apply in this category.
- Applicants who are Toddy Tappers are needed to be registered members of the cooperative society.
- Also, Toddy Tappers living in slums in the homeless can apply.
- Rural artisans/artisans living in slums, landless agricultural laborers, Tappers earning their livelihood daily in the informal sector can get the benefits out of this scheme.
For Disabled Person
- A citizen of any age can avail benefits out of this scheme.
- The applicant must belong to primitive and tribal category to apply for this scheme.
